We would expect you should carry out the final cut of the grass this month, it is still growing very slowly as the soil temperature is still reasonably high. A run over with the mower is a good way to clear the leaves and other debris.
The height of cut should be @ 40mm – cutting too short can encourage moss to invade, and leaving the grass too grow long will encourage disease and weaker grass over winter.
The leaves are now starting to fall – do not allow leaves to build up on the grass for long periods of time, this can cause poor areas of grass and encourage disease in the lawn.
If a frost occurs please try to not walk on the lawn while it is white with frost, it can bruise the grass and leave brown foot prints.
